Installation Instructions

Tools you will be needing are

  •     Pliers and screw driver -To take off and put back the toilet seat cover.

  •     Plumbers wrench or pliers to loosen and tighten the hoses.

  •     Plumbers tape to use for the water connections.

This kind of project is easy for some and more difficult for others. Don't be afraid

to tackle this project though, with a little patience anyone with a few "handyman"

      skills can accomplish this install!

NOTE, the Bidet-Mate is manufactured basically for a "standard" two piece toilet.  There is a

way to use a bidet-mate bidet with a one  piece toilet but requires a different setup.

1st.

Take off the seat by loosening the two (2) bolts in the back.  Lift off the cover as in the picture on the left. Might want to use a little WD-40 to loosen up any bolts that are tough to turn.

2nd.

Place support bracket of the bidet over holes on your toilet and use the brass fittings to secure Mini-Bidet™ in position. You might have to use needle nose pliers to tighten the bolt on the brass fitting.

3rd.

Put  seat back in place and firmly tighten up both nuts onto brass fittings.

You  now  have your bidet ready to accept the water line.

               The water line connection ...

Note this is the hot/cold bidet. Notice the 2nd Valve on the side? You can hookup a  hot/cold bidet and only run the cold water until you are ready to tackle the hot water line.

Also note this is where both valves let water enter into the bidet. This is also how the hot & cold water are mixed together.

Turn off the Water at the source.

Detach the water valve coming out of the wall behind the toilet.  Install a "T" adapter valve (using the plumbers tape) and tighten it. The "T" valve allows you to connect a water line to the bidet and a water line to the toilet.

There is also another method that does not require you to turn off your water and that is to connect a 3-way T after your water valve. Home Depot sells a "EZ-Connect Adapter" to add a second outlet to any supply stop.  You want to check the size of your valve , coming off your water source.  Standard is  3/8" from your water valve. If you use this method or the method above, close the valve, flush the toilet to empty the water from the toilet and connect the bidet using the "T" and water lines.

Connect  the water lines going to your toilet and the Mini-Bidet.

Re-tighten the "T" adapter and any other bolts on the bidet as loosening may occur during water supply attachment. Make sure you use the plumbers tape that came with the unit. The plumbers tape is wound around the "male" end of the hoses and helps to avoid leaking around the threads.

Turn the water back on and check for leaks. You are now ready to use your Bidet.
