Some Health Reasons  for using a Bidet...

Elderly and Physically Challenged

As we age, the vaginal and bladder mucosa, (lining skin), becomes thin and easily irritated.

This makes it much easier for a woman to get bladder and vaginal infections.  The bidet

reduces this likelihood.  As we age, our skin requires more tender care.  A bidet is an ideal

solution.

For those with arthritis, chronic pain or other physical challenges, the bidet provides a simple

way to thoroughly cleanse after elimination and reduces the likelihood of bacteria being

inadvertently introduced to these sensitive areas.

                                              Sexual Intercourse

Proper personal hygiene plays an important role in getting close with your mate.

The Bidet is an invaluable aid in  personal hygiene.   For obvious reasons it can be

recommended that the Bidet be used both before and after  intercourse.

Feel fresh, clean and confident!

                        Pregnancy

                                                 & post partum hygiene

When a woman is pregnant, her body undergoes many physical and body chemistry changes.

It becomes more difficult to remain fresh and odor free in the genital area.  It is also more important

to avoid vaginal and bladder infections that could require a pregnant woman to take medications

that could endanger her baby.  The bidet helps to cleanse harmful bacteria from the area and keeps

a woman fresh.

After giving birth, many women return home with a surgical incision, (after an episiotomy), in her

vaginal area that requires the utmost hygiene and care to avoid infection.  The bidet is ideal for

this kind of genital TLC and is very soothing to the area as well during the healing process.

And as the infant grows to and through the toddler stages, graduating from being diapered to

being placed on the toilet. He or she can begin the potty-training period, when and where the

value and benefits of the bidet can be included in the training system. With the addition of a

potty-ring or potty-seat placed on the toilet, the toilet can be instantly converted into Potty

& Hygiene training! And it feels good too!

                       Bladder Infections

                                                   (Cystitis and Urethritis)

Every woman who has ever felt that miserable burning, urgent feeling that comes with

a bladder infection, understands how important it is to take the few simple steps necessary

to avoid them.  (By the way, men can get them too)  A bladder infection,

(often referred to as cystitis or Urinary tract infection), is an infection of the urine tube

at the opening, (called the urethra).  It can spread up the urinary tract to the bladder and

even to the kidneys, potentially causing a very painful and serious situation.  Bacteria

called E-Coli lives in the feces.  During sex, this bacteria can be driven up the urine tube

to cause infection.  A simple "rinsing" of the opening with fresh and soothing water

before and after sex can prevent this from happening and leaves you feeling cleansed

and comfortable as well.  Many doctors recommend a bidet to patients who get these

infections because it helps to cleanse the genital and rectal anatomy free of the harmful

 bacteria.

Vaginal yeast infections can help to cause  a bladder infection.  A yeast infection

causes a woman to become very sore with often intense itching and discomfort of

the vagina..  (Men can get a form of this as well called balanitis in his genital area.)

The bidet can soothe these symptoms and help prevent the development of a urinary

infection by keeping the fungus of the yeast infection away from the urine tube.
The bidet provides a non irritating fresh water wash and cleansing not achievable

through use of dry paper. Irritated skin is soothed and comforted until medication

eliminates the yeast infection.  Regular use of the bidet can replace the worry and

suffering of infection with soothing comfort and peace of mind.

                                               Hemorrhoids

Hemorrhoids are veins beneath the tender skin of the anus.  They become dilated

and swollen and can look like fleshy bumps protruding from the anal walls.  They

are caused by repeated pressure on these little veins during straining when one is

constipated.   This pressure usually results in even more  straining to pass stool,

hich then worsens the hemorrhoid, causing a viscous cycle. It's thought that 75%

of Americans will have them at some time in their lives. The risk for getting hemorrhoids

increases with: Constipation, low dietary fiber intake, pregnancy and delivery, obesity,

diarrhea, overexertion and certain occupations that require continual standing or sitting.

Any of this sound familiar? Symptoms of a hemorrhoid can be as simple as  a small spot

of blood noticed on the toilet tissue after wiping or seen on the stool.  Also rectal

tenderness and/or itching, discomfort  and painful bowel movements can occur,

especially with straining.  Hemorrhoids can develop into very large painful bleeding

masses and can pose a threat of serious infection.A Bidet System affords the user

benefits of a direct and steady diffuse spray of cool  soothing water to the afflicted

Hemorrhoid area. It  begins to shrink the membrane and surrounding tissue, reducing

the bleeding, swelling, and irritation caused by hemorrhoids.

                                                               Constipation

The upward stream of water, provided by the bidet, directly into the rectum in a steady

stream serves to relax the internal and external sphincter muscles controlling the anus,

thus permitting contraction of the muscular walls of the rectum, causing feces to be more

easily passed without straining. The bidet's cleansing nozzle stimulates a bowel movement

by relaxing the sphincters and lubricating the anus. A 8-10 second application of direct

warm water flow is recommended prior to attempting to defecate. Increasing the water

pressure with the pressure control valve allows the water to penetrate much in the same

way as an enema and brings about a gentle, comfortable, more natural elimination. Daily

use of the Bidet for this purpose gradually teaches the user how to relax thus relieving

constipation through a natural habit.

                                                  Diarrhea and Dysentery

Both debilitating ailments have one thing in common, Constant trips to the toilet! And,

the subsequent need to wipe the anus, causing painful friction. This can be especially

painful for young children. Body fluids excreted from diarrhea or dysentery irritate the

rectum.  This is due to their acidic toxic discharge which can cause redness and pain

and general discomfort. The bidets soothing and cleansing action cools the afflicted

area relieving the pain and discomfort from the diarrhea. The bidets cleansing nozzles

prevent irritation as well as flushing away bodily fluids discharged as a result of these

ailments. Drying with soft towel eliminates the wetness and relief is on the way!
